The MARTA Breeze Mobile 2.0 application is an innovative fare payment solution for everyone. We offer multiple payment options. You can purchase and validate tickets right from your smartphone. A QR code is generated for each single-use, granting access to the transit system. The new system also allows a rider to have multiple IDs associated with an account. For instance, you may have a cellphone, multiple Breeze Cards, hotel keys, an Apple Watch, or any NFC-enabled device linked to your account.

Unmatched Convenience

The Breeze Mobile 2.0 Application allows customers to buy tickets anytime, anywhere, without needing a Breeze card or a Breeze vending machine. If you register your account, losing your device is no longer a concern. Your tickets and passes are stored in the cloud and will remain available even if you lose your phone or get a new one.

Self-managed account

Customers can now manage their accounts independently. You can save or change your payment information for faster check-out and track your purchase history.  

The Breeze Mobile 2.0 application is free to download. You may incur data usage fees via your mobile service provider for the use of the application. MARTA is not responsible for any mobile carrier data charges a customer incurs from using or downloading the Breeze Mobile 2.0 application.

Yes. You will need a smartphone or device to use the Breeze Mobile 2.0 Application. You will have to install the app from the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android) to open the app. Once installed, you can open the application.

To create an account, you will need to provide your first name, last name, email, telephone, create a password and agree to the Breeze Mobile 2.0 Application terms.

Creating an account on the Breeze Mobile 2.0 Application is easy. On the sign In screen, tap sign up. On the sign-up screen, enter your information and set a password. Indicate that you agree with the mobile app terms and tap sign up. Your account will be created, and you will be  automatically signed in.

If you have a Breeze Mobile 2.0 account but cannot remember the Password, you can reset the Password. On the login screen, tap " logon, " then tap "forgot password." Select your communication method on the password recovery screen, enter your phone number or email, and create and confirm a new password. Click 'Change password.' You will be sent a confirmation code to either your sms or email, which you will enter to confirm the change. Click 'continue,' and you will be logged in and taken to the home screen.

If you have created a customer account and purchased a new mobile device, after logging in, all your previously purchased, non-activated products and your stored value will be immediately available to you. Any previously activated but still valid products may be transferred by contacting MARTA's Customer Service team at 404.848.5000.

The acceptable form of payment to make purchases on the Breeze Mobile 2.0 Application are:

• Visa
• Mastercard
• AMEX
• Discover
• Apple Pay  

Each riding passenger should have their own phone or ID. Multiple riders are prohibited from riding with one ID. Additional IDs can be added to one account so that parents can manage products for their families. 

Breeze Mobile 2.0 accounts allow up to five separate IDs that can be used to travel.  Your phone is the first ID on your account.  At this time, none of the IDs that you associate with your account will make financial transactions.  They are used as independent IDs that point to your mobile account.  This does allow multiple people to travel with only one account.  Here are the steps below:

• Select ‘Menu’ from the navigation bar within the Breeze Mobile 2.0 application.
• Select IDs, and then ‘Add ID’ towards the bottom of the page.
• In the ID Type field, select ‘Breeze’ from the drop-down menu.
• Lastly, type the serial number from the back of the Breeze card into the ID number field and click ‘Save’.

This card is now joined to the mobile account. The patron can either manually activate a product in the app and assign it to the Breeze card or tap the Breeze card on Bus or Rail services. Watch this video to see where to tap your mobile device : How to scan: https://youtu.be/8H_ABvYub0E .

You may pre-purchase tickets for future use and activate each ticket as needed. You may also purchase a ticket at the time of travel, or if you have stored value, scan your QR code on your home screen to be automatically issued a single trip pay-as-you-go ticket.

If you do not have any tickets or value, it may take up to 30 seconds for your new product to be available for use.

If scanning a validator upon boarding MARTA, an eligible prepaid ticket in your wallet will automatically be activated. However, you can manually activate your tickets before boarding the train, bus, or streetcar. If you are boarding a vehicle without being able to scan, you must manually activate your ticket. Bus operators will require an activated ticket. Please note that for single-trip tickets, once the ticket is activated, it will expire in 3 hours. For day passes, once the ticket is activated, it will expire at 2:00 A.M the following day.

The Breeze Mobile 2.0 Application does not issue refunds. If you believe you are entitled to one, please MARTA's Customer Service team at 404.848.5000.

If your mobile phone becomes inoperable, you must use another payment method for the trip.

If you go into your app menu and click "History," you will see your purchase. To the right of the transaction, click on the three dots. You will be prompted with a receipt pop-up. Click on it, and the screen will display your receipt.

The Breeze Mobile 2.0 application is fully certified and compliant with Payment Card Industry standards (PCI-DSS). All payment communications are fully encrypted via SSL; systems are constantly monitored for security vulnerabilities, and any sensitive data stored are highly encrypted.

Yes. The Breeze Mobile 2.0 application will allow you to use the application as a guest without creating an account. However, to have Balance Protection over your funds, you must create an account so your transaction history will save. If you start using the Breeze Mobile 2.0 application as a Guest and then decide to create an account, once you do so, any unused Products you have will be synced to your account.

Riding passengers do not need to manually activate their tickets unless they have two or more types of products in their wallets. (example: 2 Trip Tickets and a 7-Day pass) Riders only need to open the application at the validator and scan the QR code from the Home screen.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the Breeze Mobile 2.0 application will create an additional ID in their account for that same device. When the device is used to travel, it will only use the most recent ID.  If a customer has a product locked to their older ID, they must contact customer service to move the product to the new ID, and the old phone ID must be deleted from the account.

Click IDs in the Breeze Mobile 2.0 Application menu to link your Breeze Card. Click Add an ID. Select Breeze as the ID type and enter the number printed on your card in the ID number field. Here are a few Key reminders when linking your Breeze card to the mobile application:

• Before linking your Breeze Card, riders should be aware that if they have active Passes, Trips, or Stored Value on the Breeze card, those products cannot be transferrable to your Breeze Mobile 2.0 account.
• When linking your Breeze Card to your Breeze Mobile 2.0 account, currently, riders cannot receive transfers to any of the Regional Partners.
• After connecting the Breeze Card to your Breeze Mobile 2.0 account, stored value and products must be purchased through Breeze Mobile 2.0 and no longer from the ATM.
• If you have multiple IDs in your account, a product will be locked to the ID it was originally activated on.

There are a few reasons why your account is showing blocked or disabled:

• If your account stored value is negative, then the account will be blocked or disabled. You can add value to a negative account, and this will unblock the account.
• In the event that a Breeze Mobile account is identified or associated with a fraudulent credit card chargeback or fraudulent activity, the account will be blocked or disabled.
• You can also request to have your account blocked or disabled. 

Please Note: If your account is blocked or disabled, this will also affect using the Breeze Mobile 2.0 application with our regional partners.

Yes. You may select the agency, service, and product for your trip. MARTA isn't just for riders in the heart of Atlanta. MARTA has partnered with other regional transit systems to make it easy for users to travel in and out of the city.

Yes, once you tap your phone to the reader – whether on MARTA, Xpress, CobbLinc, or Ride Gwinnett, you have three (3) hours to transfer to any regional partner for free. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

• You are allowed up to four transfers within a period of 3 hours from the start of your trip.
• You can ride with no more than two agencies during a trip. Once you change the agency, you will not be able to change it back (e.g., you can transfer from MARTA to CobbLinc, but you cannot then transfer back to MARTA for free)
• Transfers cannot be used for round-trip travel —you can’t exit a route and board the same route again later without purchasing another ride. Rail-to-rail transfers are never allowed.
  

Customers will need to  re-enter their credit card information when purchasing a product or adding to their stored value

No, your mobile ticket account will still have any money that you have deposited.
